Crash and Splash

By: Trip Advisor The water was pushing up the sides of our raft as we zoomed down the river. Up until this point the only times I had gone down the rive was in the pontoon boat, nice and slow - this couldn't be further from that. Near my grandparents' house there is a mini golf course that also offers river rafting (I guess those are the types of combinations you get in a small town). My sister and I wanted to go rafting every year, and one year my mom finally said yes. In the raft it was my mom, aunt, sister, grandma, and me. We got our paddles, life preservers, raft, and loaded up in a van to drive to the launch point. The drive took about 5 minutes, and as we got closer excitement only grew. Once we were situated in the raft, we pushed off and began paddling. As we began to get into a rhythm of paddling, the current picked up pulling our inflatable raft faster and faster.
